Bill Jerome, with coauthor Curtis Powell, has worked with more than 100 different corporations and associations, championing the concept of an “indispensable brand” and the research to identify its application. Bill is a motivation speaker/writer of business parables and currently the Chief Storyteller/Marketing Director for Christian Academy School System in Louisville, Kentucky, the largest Christian school system in the country. He was previously marketing manager at Citicorp, general manager for various advertising agencies, and executive coach in vision casting and brand innovation. Bill has written and spoken for national conferences on topics including “7 freedoms of innovation,” “Creating a brand of indispensability,” and “Why satisfaction studies are meaningless and what you can do about it.” He earned his BA in classics from Princeton University and, finding a limited opportunity to earn a living translating fireplaces and tombstones,  went on to earn his Masters in Management from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.  He lives in Louisville, where he and his wife Jacquee split their time following the Cornhuskers, Redskins and St. Louis Cardinals.

 

Curtis Powell has a 30-year background in product development, marketing, research and analytics for Fortune 500 companies and national associations in healthcare, financial services, higher education and energy. Founder and senior consultant for Endpoint Chicago, a boutique strategic marketing firm, Curtis has also served in marketing leadership positions for the College of American Pathologists, MidAmerican Energy, Quester Research and Citibank NYS. He has received numerous Addy, Telly and AMA awards for marketing, as well as the Citicorp Service Excellence award and MidAmerican Energy’s Teaming for Success award. Curtis is also a composer, actor and playwright. Curt sparks creativity and innovation in organizations through facilitated workshops and keynotes with topics like “Increasing Your Organization’s Creativity – Where the Wild Ideas Are.”  He earned a MA from the Department of Speech at Northwestern University and lives in Chicago’s Gold Coast with his wife, writer and artist Scottie Kersta-Wilson.
